Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1995 Porsche 928 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1995 Porsche 928 problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

This 90s Porsche is virtually new in all respects and has been recently serviced to impress any Porsche enthusiast. Nicely appointed with options to include high-output a/c, AM/FM/Cassette with 6-disc changer, electric sunroof, as well as, carpeted floor mats. Our available model, seen here, displays an excellent color combination and, in our opinion, is a truly excellent investment grade example! About Porsche's 928 GTS Coupe Model: Porsche had to consider consumer product changes to supplement the slow sales of their sporty, but well-proven 911 series, during the 1970's. Many in-house designers, including Ferdinand Porsche himself, wished to add a luxury model to the lineup worthy of grand touring status. It would carry a front-engine, all-aluminum V8 with rear-wheel-drive through a transaxle, along with aluminum front end and doors to produce a vehicle with near perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The resulting advanced design would become the Porsche 928, and in 1978 become the first car in a sports car platform to win the European Car of the Year, an award usually reserved for luxury sedans in previous years. The performance was instantly admirable with ample power and a balanced feel, surrounded with very comfortable interior cabin with high end luxury appointments. As with all things Porsche, changes were made year after year to perfect and improve the 928. Engine displacement slowly grew from the original 4.5L to a mighty 5.4L by early 1993, as did the horsepower and overall performance. The final variant was named the 928 GTS, which is now hailed as the finest example collectors and enthusiasts seek out today. Produced only from 1993 through the end of production in 1995, they offered 345 horsepower and 369 ft. lbs. of torque with higher compression engine, revised camshaft, better pistons and rings, refined exterior body lines and exterior mirrors, larger rear fenders to accommodate wider 17" Cup II wheels, and bigger front brakes. They would be the best Porsche had to offer in both performance and luxury touring. Only 406 GTS cars would grace North American soil, largely due to the sky high price when new. Of these, only 77 Porsche 928's mark the final year of production! About Our Porsche 928 For Sale: Available at the St. Louis Car Museum is a 1995 Porsche 928 Coupe finished in factory A1- Schwarz Black over a PT- Marble Grey/ Black Partial Leather interior. This virtually untouched, all original specimen is perfectly appointed with its number's matching 5.4L V8 and automatic 4-speed transmission, along with, high output climate-controlled air conditioning (front & rear blower fans), AM/FM/Cassette radio with dual door speakers and Alpine 6-disc CD changer, power trunk release, power windows/mirrors/locks, electric sunroof, rear window wiper, 17" Porsche Cup II wheels wrapped in Michelin ZR-rated tires, 8-way power seats, and Porsche floor mats! This example was ordered new by Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach, Florida and stayed in their private collection through the summer of 2002. It was exercised regularly and serviced in their world renowned service shop, including its first timing belt replacement in June 2000 at 8,023 miles. The Porsche then traveled to Wayne, PA in 2002 when it was sold to its second owner with 9,461 miles on the odometer. Service work would now fall into the careful hands of Don Galbraith Motoring, Inc of Devon, PA. This included mostly oil/filter changes along with a brake fluid flush at 10,567 miles in May 2004. Ownership would change again in March of 2005 where the example would join a private collection in New York, then later finding its way to Willhoit Enterprises in Springfield, MO in 2015. Having sat largely idle for a number of years, Import Specialists, also located in Springfield, MO, were commissioned to fully inspect and bring this beautiful 928 to proper running operation. At 11,824 miles in November 2015, the fuel system was flushed and received a new fuel filter, engine oil/filter changed, new air filter fitted, and the ABS relay was replaced along with a new PSM pump assembly installed and bleeding the entire brake system. After some exercise, Import Specialists replaced the fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure damper at 11,943 miles in July 2016 to further improve performance. This gorgeous Porsche 928 has graced only two other museum collections since and continues to impress all who see it firsthand! Showing only 12,068 miles on the odometer today, it will come with all past service records, all original books and manuals, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a clean CarFax report, one key, original tool kit, cargo cover and netting, untouched spare tire, and factory compressor. This particular 928 represents one of only 47 examples fitted with the automatic transmission in 1995, along with, the addition of being dressed in the most desirable of color combinations. Porsche collectors, take notice! Examples as fine as the one offered here simply do not come onto the market very often like this one!
