Additional Description: 1980 GMC Sierra Grande 1/2 Ton Short Bed Purchased about 26,000 miles on it. Changed several items on the vehicle to make it a personnel fun driver. Local machine shop built and installed a 468 Cu In BBC motor, with new alum intake 750 Edelbrock carb. new distributor, rotating assembly, lifter roller rockers pushrods and comp cam. bored 454 to 468 cu in. rebuilt late 1970s rectangle port heads with new component's. This engine has approx. 20,000 miles on it. Has front disk brakes and drum rears. Installed new 3 core heavy duty Radiator. Installed new Sandgren AC compressor, converted system to 134A. Local transmission shop built a beefed up 700R4 transmission with a 2200 rpm stall converter. Truck runs about 2100rpm at 70 mph. Work done about 5000 miles ago. Transmission converter lock is manual and has switch on dash. Only engage for hwy use. Tilt steering column shift indicator modified to read proper gear. 10 bolt rear diff rebuilt to 342 ratio and converted to Posi traction. work done about 15000 miles ago. Installed custom 16 inch American Racing wheels and tires. Installed tubular grill insert. Replaced hood with a Good mark steel hood with 1 1/2 inch center rise Installed a later model step-side bed. The truck had dual 16 gallon fuel tanks with electric switch on dash. Modified right bed panel side to match left side fuel door. Installed rear fiberglass rolled pan. Smoothed minor body dings and repainted truck. Fiberglass hard cover with a small sport wing and 3rd brake light and painted to match body. Sprayed inside of bed with bed liner material. Changed front springs to lower truck 3 inches. Replaced front shocks.
