Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1970 Plymouth BARRACUDA recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1970 Plymouth BARRACUDA problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda - 6.4 Liter HEMI w/TR6060 Transmission - TorqStorm Supercharged - Fiberglass Body - Ford 9" rear end (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Here is a jaw dropping 'Cuda that we could write pages and pages about, but we'll have to do our best to keep the description on the shorter side. Not to say that it isn't worth reading our description, but we know that many people will first jump right to the pictures (we understand!) so the real short and sweet description is as follows. The car features a Downs Performance full fiberglass body which was displayed at SEMA 2014, Art Morrison Max G Chassis, 6.4 Liter HEMI w/TorqStorm Supercharger, TR6060 transmission, Ford 9" rear end, custom wheels, Wilwood brakes, roll cage, and custom seats. High visibility paint in bright orange covering the body makes this 'Cuda hard to miss, and in addition to the loud paint color, the body is all composite. The car was acquired by our client as a pile of parts, and he has since transformed the car into a street and autocross monster. The body is a full fiberglass shell - including the floor and doors which was actually a Downs Custom Performance Body that was displayed at SEMA in 2014. A one piece front end adds to the cool factor and is in keeping with the lightweight race theme. A front spoiler, rear spoiler, and graphics give the car a more aggressive look. We like the way the rear fender has a slight curve upward that lines up with the adjustable rear spoiler. Currently the only pieces of the exterior that are actually Chrysler are the bumpers, front and rear glass, and the tail lights. The exterior of the car looks absolutely amazing - the fit and finish are great for being a composite car. The fit and finish are a testament to the care taken when the car was built. Once the driver's door is clicked open and you look inside it is immediately obvious that this car means business. Roll cage, Wilwood pedal box, custom CNC machined center console, VFN Dashboard, RaceQuip harnesses, removable Grant steering wheel, custom Classic Instruments gauges, and back seat delete are just a few of the highlights of the interior. Once strapped in, the flick of a few switches, and turn of a key brings the engine to life. Under the hood is a 6.4Liter fuel injected HEMI mated to a TR6060 6-speed manual transmission with a custom CNC machined shifter. Strapped to the HEMI is a TorqStorm supercharger that helps pump out 520 horsepower to the rear wheels. With that kind of power good brakes are important, and this car has an awesome setup. Wilwood 13" rotors can be found at all 4 corners of the car with 6 piston Superlite calipers in the front and 4 piston Superlite calipers in the rear. ET LTIII Wheels wrapped in sticky BFGoodrich tires measure 18x11 in front and 18x12 in the rear. An Art Morrison Max G frame sits under the body. A Ford 9" rear end with 3:70 gears sits between the rear wheels. Other highlights of the power plant include a radiator from a 2012 Challenger, Turn One power steering pump, a CX Racing Intercooler with 4" core, and Autowire wiring harness. Of note is that there were a number of custom CNC machined parts installed throughout the car to make everything work - no hodge podged parts here. This bright colored 'Cuda is a special car with lots of special features. Custom body, TorqStorm Supercharged 6.4 liter HEMI, 6 speed manual, Art Morrison frame, custom interior, and an awesome braking setup. Not to mention this car has been a CAM-T AutoCross class winner locally, and a strong contender in AutoCross competitions at national events like GoodGuys Shows. This is a hot car looking for a new home, which is sure to put a smile on your face every time you turn the key. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
