Additional Description: This is a very nice 1966 Pontiac GTO 2 Dr hardtop that is powered by Pontiacs famous '67 400 cubic inch engine and a '66 Pontiac Tri-Power carburetor set up. This GTO has the correct center console which houses the standard shifter for the 3 speed TH 350 automatic transmission, which transfers the power to the rear wheels. The transmission shifts easily and the torquey 400 pulls it around with the kind of enthusiasm youd expect from a GTO with dual exhaust. Mechanically this car is very sound, the brakes steering and transmission all function as they are supposed to. With only 89,935 miles on the car, the rebuilt engine was recently refreshed with gaskets and seals and a full clean up to be ready for show, and it runs greatthis is not your run-of-the-mill trailer queen. The exterior of this car is very straight and solid. There are no rust issues and the car still wears its original factory fenders with all the correct stampings. Frame is solid with no issues. The car came from the factory with a 'Martinique Bronze' metallic and was repainted to the factory color. The Cordova Black vinyl top was replaced. The Bronze interior has also been replaced with a new interior giving the car a beautiful look from exterior to interior. Lots of fun to drive and eye catching to boot. This truck gets everything right and has no needs. If you want the best, this might be it, all at a price thats a fraction of the cost to get it there! Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1966 Pontiac GTO recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1966 Pontiac GTO problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
