Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1954 Lincoln CAPRI recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1954 Lincoln CAPRI problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Beautiful 1954 Lincoln Capri. This was owned for many years by a local Lincoln collector. He was especially fond of the 1954 model year and found this sedan to be extra special due to the fact that it's such a great original survivor and the rare power options. It has had some light restoration, but is mostly a nice original survivor. This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun! Details/Features: 318ci 'Y-Block' V8 engine (202 HP) - Hydra-Matic Transmission (4 speed automatic) - Power Steering - Power Brakes - Power Windows - Power Seat - Factory Air Conditioning - Wide White Wall Tires - Fender skirts - Tidy engine and trunk compartments - Over $12,000 in past receipts over the years for parts, service, and restoration parts - Runs and drives excellent! The original V8 runs very well and makes good power. The Hydra-Matic Transmission was fully rebuilt in 2016 and shifts well at all speeds. All working factory gauges and lights. This car has factory air conditioning, and although it is not operational at this time, everything appears to be there if someone wanted to get it working in the future. Overall, the car runs and drives excellent and is easy to drive with the power steering and brakes. Original 6 volt system still works great. The car looks wonderful inside and out. The exterior paint is older with some minor flaws due to age and use, but it still displays nicely. The chrome and stainless are a mix of nice original and some re-chromed pieces (which include both bumpers). The interior is also quite nice with nicely re-upholstered seats. The doors, hood, trunk all open and close with ease. Underneath the car looks good and solid as you would expect. Overall, the car presents itself well and is nice enough to win a trophy at some of the local car shows you attend.
