Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. Additional Description: 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville 2-Door Coupe equipped with the factory dual quad carburetor option. With only 2100 produced , we can safely call it rare and hard to find. This California Survivor has been stored indoors and has not been registered since 1979. Only 94, 792 miles. The car was recently brought to dry climate Arizona where it has undergone extensive mechanical work to prepare the car for road worthiness. This includes a completely rebuilt brake system front to back, and the fuel system has been gone through which includes rebuilt carburetors, fuel tank and sending unit replacement, lines and fuel pump. Belts and hoses have been replaced, and the radiator has been rebuilt. Tires, battery and shock absorbers have been addressed as well. This Eldorado runs and drives extremely well. Inspection of the vehicle exterior body will reveal one older re-paint (factory Bahama Blue) with straight body panels and good body panel fit. Some minor rust bubbles forming at the bases of both doors, and likely caused by clogged weep holes over the years. With the exception of both mirrors and exhaust bezels, the exterior trim items are in very good to excellent condition. All glass panels are in exceptional condition. The interior is well preserved although the seat upholstery needs to be replaced. The Chrome trim items inside the car are in great shape with no pitting. Some of the chrome looks hazy in the pictures, and nothing a little elbow grease won't cure. A look underneath the dashboard will reveal a wiring harness that is soft and pliable with no cracked wires, so the new owner will not have to deal with that nightmare installation. Everything works with the exception of the radio and clock. The windshield wipers are a little lazy from a vacuum leak. The owner did not take much time to track down. A wonderful sight when looking underneath the car. The undercarriage has been professionally media blasted with a thin coat of sealant applied.
