It featured the largest battery pack and the most powerful motors offered. This Model X hosts two motors, one at the front and one at the rear. Teslas engineers specifically designed the front motor for efficiency while the rear motor had a more fun purpose, power. In 2017 the P100D was rated at 762 horsepower which was instantly available due to the use of electric motors. Tesla gives all of its models various driving modes ranging from comfort to the insanity that is Ludacris+. When in Ludacris+ the instant torque from mashing your foot down throws all occupants back in their seats while rocketing this large 5,000lb vehicle to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds. While the fastest mode is not efficient on the battery, there are other options that will allow range to be 289 miles. With the use of one of Teslas supercharging stations, it can be fully charged in around an hour. Most people will not use their Tesla for long trips meaning that a simple overnight charge is more than plenty to go to work, run all errands, go to sporting events, and even out for dinner without eating up even close to all of the available range. While the Model X is revolutionary, it only was available in five colors which are surprisingly few considering some new cars are offered with upwards of 10 unique color options. This example is finished in Black which makes for a sleek look when paired with the optional black wheels and window tint. Other optional equipment on this example is 6-place seating with power front and 2nd-row seats. With the Model X came a plethora of standard options. The 17-inch touch screen houses all of the vehicles controls ranging from audio, lights, doors, climate settings, and many, many more. There are only two buttons located on the dashboard one being the glovebox release and the other being the hazard lights. A unique feature of the large touch screen is that it has many capabilities that are not found on other cars such as a web browser and the ability to play classic games such as Ataris Asteroid. Where the standard gauge cluster would be located is a customizable screen that can display a variety of different information about the vehicle. By now most people have seen the unique rear doors of the Model X that are power operated and open up in a gull-wing fashion much like a DeLorean except much more high-tech. The Model X rides on an air suspension system that can be raised and lowered for various conditions and it also features all-wheel drive. This specific example comes with a second set of wheels and tires. Overall every Tesla is a revolutionary vehicle but the Model X is the most stand out among the rest.
