Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1981 Pontiac FIREBIRD recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1981 Pontiac FIREBIRD problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - Final Year of the Second Generation Trans Am - Correct Nightwatch Blue Paint - Kentucky Car - Replaced '78 400 V8 Motor - T Tops (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Garage Kept Motors is pleased to present this southern Trans Am for consideration. 1981 was a historical year for Pontiac as it marked the final year of production of the beloved second generation Trans Am. The "Bandit" cars had come to an end. This example remains highly original and was originally owned in Kentucky. The car is finished in the original Code 29 Nightwatch Blue paint color with the iconic Screaming Chicken on the hood. Interior is Code 26N Dark Blue Deluxe Vinyl with Code A51 Bucket Seats and Code CC1 Fisher T-Top Roof. In 2012, the car came to Michigan and in February of 2020, the motor was replaced by a professionally rebuilt 1978 400 V8 with a mild cam. The car performs better than it did with the 301 and sits on the upgraded gray snowflake wheels. Has a brand new transmission build as well. A fun and iconic car that won't break the bank and is surely never to lose its value being the final year the second gen was made. Parts are also still readily available for these cars.
